Story

The TRADITIONAL HERBS Ritual

The slender, resinous needles of Pinus species, known simply as 'hojas de pino,' bristle from Honduras' highland forests with their sharp, turpentine essence.

The slender, resinous needles of Pinus species, known simply as 'hojas de pino,' bristle from Honduras' highland forests with their sharp, turpentine essence. Hand-picked from native and naturalized pines, these needles carry North American indigenous and adapted Central American knowledge about respiratory clarity and vitamin C sufficiency.

Revered for their high pinene content and traditional applications in seasonal wellness, they are shade-dried to preserve their volatile oil profile and ascorbic acid. Offered whole or coarsely cut, free from industrial pine scent additives or synthetic fragrance.

How to Use

How to Use

Step 1

Pine Needle Infusion (Tea): Gather approximately 1 tablespoon (5-10g) of fresh Pine needles or 2 teaspoons of dried needles. Chop or cut into smaller pieces to release beneficial compounds. Place in a teapot and pour 1-2 cups (250-500ml) of hot water (not boiling—around 80-85°C) over the needles. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink 1-2 cups daily.

For Respiratory Support & Immunity

Drink 1-2 cups of Pine needle tea daily to support respiratory wellness, boost immune function, and provide high vitamin C content. Traditional use for cold and flu prevention.

For Antioxidant Support

Consume Pine needle tea regularly for its rich antioxidant content, including flavonoids and vitamin C, which support cellular health and overall vitality.

Pine Needle Steam (For Congestion)

Place a handful of fresh Pine needles in a bowl of very hot water. Drape a towel over your head and inhale the aromatic steam for 5-10 minutes to clear sinus congestion and support respiratory comfort.

Caution

Ensure proper identification of Pine species. Avoid Ponderosa Pine, Norfolk Island Pine, and Yew, which can be toxic. Use only edible Pine species.
