Story

The TRADITIONAL HERBS Ritual

The aromatic leaves of Laurus nobilis, called 'laurel' in local kitchens, have seasoned both traditional remedies and ancestral recipes for centuries.

The aromatic leaves of Laurus nobilis, called 'laurel' in local kitchens, have seasoned both traditional remedies and ancestral recipes for centuries. Carefully wild-harvested from Honduras' highland forests, these leaves carry the earthy essence of generations of herbal wisdom.

Revered for their cleansing aroma and ceremonial significance, they are patiently shade-dried to preserve their volatile oils. Offered whole and pure, free from artificial preservatives or treatments.

How to Use

How to Use

Step 1

Herbal Infusion (Tea): Place 2-3 dried bay leaves (or 4-6 fresh leaves) in a teacup or teapot. Pour 1 cup (240ml) of freshly boiled water over the leaves. Do NOT boil the leaves directly—add to water after removing from heat. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove bay leaves and drink warm. For a milder flavor, steep for 5 minutes; for stronger medicinal properties, steep up to 10 minutes.

For Digestive Comfort

Drink 1 cup of bay leaf tea 30 minutes after meals to support healthy digestion, reduce bloating, and ease gas. Use 2-3 times daily as needed.

For Respiratory Support

Prepare bay leaf tea as above and inhale the aromatic steam before drinking. The volatile oils help clear congestion and support respiratory comfort. Drink 2-3 cups daily during seasonal challenges.

Culinary Use

Add 1-2 whole dried bay leaves to soups, stews, sauces, and rice dishes during cooking. Remove leaves before serving, as they remain tough and sharp even after cooking.

Flavor Enhancement

Bay leaf tea can be enhanced with honey, lemon, cinnamon, or ginger for added flavor and complementary benefits.
